Ollin: We are seeing today many startup pharmacies as well as many transition pharmacies as the boomers exit. These boomers largely have been script providers, meaning they have not gotten involved with clinical services and other items, sometimes not involved with vaccines and have not necessarily used technology.
But obviously if you’re an entrepreneur, if you have the willingness to work the hours and desire to be around in the public and be the healthcare provider that you learned while you were in school, especially in graduate pharmacy school, there’s no better way to get joy from what you are doing but to have a successful operating pharmacy that becomes a healthcare mecca for your community. Again, not only filling scripts but providing clinical services and vaccines and things of that nature, where you can help and support your community with their healthcare needs.
