Sykes & Company, P.A. Names Bonnie Evans Bond and Scotty Sykes as Shareholders

As part of its growth strategy, Sykes & Company, P.A. has named Bonnie Evans Bond, CPA, and Scotty Sykes, CPA, CFP as shareholders.

Bonnie joined Sykes & Company, P.A. in 2005 and quickly settled into the firm’s client-focused culture. She works with independent pharmacy clients all over the country to assist them in purchasing an existing store or starting a pharmacy from the ground up. Bonnie is experienced in tax preparation for both individuals and corporations, as well as financial statement preparation and reviews. Bonnie received her B.S. in Accounting from North Carolina State University in 2004 and her Master’s in Business Administration in 2005 from East Carolina University. She received her Certified Public Accountant’s certification in 2009. In the community, Bonnie has served as an officer with the elementary school’s PTA board, where she organizes events and fundraisers. She also volunteers her time to coach local recreational sports teams and is a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church. She and her husband, Clark, a Maintenance Supervisor at Weyerhaeuser, have three children: Liza, Jacob and Cora.

Scotty joined Sykes & Company, P.A. in 2010. He thrives on cultivating relationships with pharmacy owners, third parties and key vendors to enable pharmacy clients access to the best possible resources. He is actively involved in all areas of pharmacy accounting and tax with an emphasis on high level advisory for pharmacy clients. Scotty received his B.S. in Business Administration and M.S. in Accounting degrees from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He earned his Certified Public Accountant certification in August 2011 and his Certified Global Management Accounting certification in 2014. In the community, Scotty serves as a Director on the Economic Advisory Board of the Edenton Chowan Partnership, Inc. He is also a founding board member and the current President of the George & Alex Memorial Foundation, which raises scholarship money for local high school seniors. He enjoys church on Sundays, is a scratch golfer and loves to spend time with his childhood next door neighbor and wife, Carole.
