ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Administrative Assistant Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office.
  • Answers phone calls- Covers for receptionist
  • Schedules meetings and appointments
  • Runs errands to the post office, bank, and supply store, etc.
  • Performs administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
  • Prepares and edits letters, reports, memos, and emails
  • Makes travel arrangements such as booking flights, cars, and hotel or restaurant reservations.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing, and expediting orders for supplies.
  • Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail. Supports team by performing tasks related to organization Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Administrative Assistant Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in public accounting. CPA license or actively pursuing licensure
  • 4-year degree
  • Experience with individual, corporate, partnership tax
  • Knowledge of the tax code, compliance, and procedures
  • Strong accounting, analytical and research skills
  • Ability to complete general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process utilizing QuickBooks
  • Lacerte tax software experience a plus

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • 3 years of administrative assistant experience
  • Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
